Fall 2021 Write-A-Cite Quiz

Read a short memo, pull citations from a set of legal authorities, and write out each citation yourself — eighteen in all.

Instructions

To complete this quiz, download the Memo and Legal Authorities below and review them carefully. Remember that these legal authorities are abridged, meaning they should not be used outside this context. Case names must be written in italics (not underlined) to be correctly graded. Use your computer's keyboard shortcut for italics.

How to answer

Each item below quotes a proposition from the memo. Type the citation that belongs there, or type None if the proposition needs no citation.

Select text and press Ctrl+I (Windows) or Cmd+I (Mac) to italicize case names, just like a real citation. Italics are graded — a citation is only marked correct if the right parts are italicized, not just the right words.
